Open Source Activity Book
Artists 4 Israel’s Healing Arts Kits is an emergency, psychological first aid toolbox designed to slow or stop the onset of new cases of PTSD in children living through crisis. Kit materials consist of uniquely crafted art supplies and toys to help in trauma intervention and disruption and are bolstered by a proprietary activity book that describes how best to use the equipment within the Kits. Our current supply of Kits was exhausted in response to the increased need so we are releasing this Activity Book so that while new Kits are being produced and shipped, parents may have support and guidance. We are committed to supporting the survivors of the 7.10 Hamas massacre and other children affected by the Iron Swords war and want all to have access to these tools immediately and at no cost to them or donors.
Note To Mental Health Professionals
The Open Source nature of this Activity Book allows and asks for your support and elaboration. Please consider other activities and practices you would add to such a booklet and provide your thoughts below. As many Israeli children are living in makeshift circumstances or sheltering in place, consider everyday objects they may have available and make further suggestions based on those opportunities. By opening up in this way, we hope for this document to become a living resource for children in need.
Comments and suggestions will be reviewed on a weekly basis by our therapists and included as appropriate.
